Video: Watching the Space Shuttle Atlantis Do A Flip In Space

For those of us who have been ardent watchers of all things related to space exploration, this video of the Space Shuttle Atlantis doing a 360-degree rotation from the current STS-135 mission is pretty darn cool - beautiful to see!

50 Years Ago Today, The First Human Flew In Space...

On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin launched into space and marked the beginning of human exploration beyond this blue-green ball we all live on. In celebration of this milestone, a couple of websites are out there with info:

The latter of those is for a new - and free - full-length film combining footage from Gagarin's launch with footage taken from the International Space Station.
